Canyon Creek Pottery is a working pottery studio and adjoining gallery that features the functional pottery made by Kenneth Merrill.

Canyon Creek Pottery offer a wide selection of handmade pottery. We specialize in functional pottery but also make some decorative piece. We are located in beautiful Sisters, Oregon a small town nestled in the foothills of the Three Sisters Wilderness.

“I have always liked the process of making pottery, turning mud into a functional piece of art is a magical thing I also love when people want to use my pottery”.

My work is all handmade in the studio behind the gallery in Sisters, Oregon. I work with the finest clays available and fire my work to cone 10 (2400 degrees) in a reduction atmosphere, this makes my pottery very durable and beautiful. The high firing hardens the clay, and the reduction reacts with the chemicals in the clay and the glaze to produce beautiful colors and effects. My favorite part is throwing the clay on a potter’s wheel.

There are many uses for using handmade pottery from accents in your kitchen or home one of my favorites is having your favorite mug that fits your hand so well that it feels like it was made for your hand.

I opened my gallery in 2002, this year is our 20^th anniversary, it has been a lot of fun getting to know the people who buy and enjoy my work. I have opened this online store to give my customers another way to get my work.
